After our delicious breakfast of strawberry pancakes, we decided to take a stroll through beautiful Eastsound.

Eastsound is the main “hub” of Orcas island.  This is where you will find adorable boutiques, book stores, garden and plant nurseries, unique toy stores for the kiddos, art stores and my favorite place to shop for fresh local ingredients —>  Orcas Homegrown Market.  If you ever come to Orcas, you will fall in love with this little town.  We sure did.

  1. Hi, After just moving from Orcas, I was happy to find your site a few months back. We lived aboard a boat in the mid 80’s on Orcas and this remids me of that time. It also remonds me of the fun and joy of exploring and learning about Orcas when we first moved there in 1978. Your site is beautiful!. Point of calirfication for you, the body of water is East Sound. You live in Eastsound. You find locals are fussy about that. I will look forward to your future posts.

  2. Your comment means so much me :) Thank you so much and I am so happy that my site brings back fond memories for you :) Thank you for the clarification too xoxo

  3. Cannot believe all my typos. I was in a hurry this morning!

  4. Love all the pictures – beautiful areas… Is that little boy, Bradley? How lucky he is to explore places and to have an Airstream too. I love to click on and see how my relatives in Wa. are doing – I feel like I am there, almost… Keep the pics – and receipes coming… I enjoy it all… Dottie B.
