Fabulous Finds For Your RV via J5MM.com // Monica Bennett #GoRVing

  1. I adore this American flag tote.  I can see it full of goodies from the market or even as a picnic basket too, plus it’s so cute and just in time for the 4th of July.
  2. I’m so tempted to buy this bed for Oliver, it would look so cute on board the Airstream especially with him on it :)
  3. Check out these two folding red director chairs, and at a great price too!  They also come in a blue stripe version.
  4. Get your outdoor summer game fun on with this adorable ring toss set.  Who wants to play?
  5. This would make a beautiful gift for the Dominoes enthusiast – made of wood and so very attractive.
  6. If you follow me along here on J5MM you know my obsession with trays and how convenient they are to have while RVing, but look at this one I found, I think I may have to add it to my collection — would even be cute hung up as a wall decoration.

Hope you’ve enjoyed this latest installment of Fab Finds Tuesday — Here’s to a fun summer ahead :)

Monica Bennett Orcas Island - travel (1 of 3)Monica Bennett Orcas Island - travel (3 of 3)

A short while ago when visiting the San Juan Islands of Washington State, we had the pleasure to dine at the Bay Cafe on Lopez Island.  It was here, where I had one of the best salads of all time called the Lopez Arugula Salad.  Owners, Tim and Kristin Shea shared their very simple recipe with me, so that I could pass it along to you ♥  Now bear with me, this salad recipe could very well be a fabulous find, and it is — but wait until you see what I have prepared it in :)

The Bay Cafe Lopez Island

Is this serving bowl set from “Camp Casual”, not the most perfect serving bowl set for your RV kitchen?  Just look at how simply lovely it is!  Thank you Rachel for sending it to me!  This serving bowl set will live happily in my Airstream kitchen from now on, no question :)

I knew straight away, the Lopez Arugula Salad would be the first salad to fill this marvelous bowl.  I honestly, truly, hopefully hope you will make this because quite frankly, it’s such a fresh and zippy salad that is quite delicious!  Here is the recipe:

The Bay Cafe
Lopez Arugula Salad
serves 8

  • 1 pound arugula
  • 4 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 cup blanched Marcona almonds
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese. divided
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

Preheat your oven to 450 degrees.  Toast the almonds on a baking sheet until lightly browned, about 10 minutes.  Allow to cool and then roughly chop.

Toss the arugula in your salad bowl with the lemon juice, olive oil, salt, pepper and half of the Parmesan cheese.  Top with the remaining Parmesan cheese and chopped almonds.  Serve immediately.

This “take it anywhere,” red table.  It’s very stylish and seems to be quite practical as well.

This “travel pouch,” would be quite handy for those trips to the RV park shower to keep all your beauty essentials in one place.

Oh and last but not least, you can now buy this charming Airstream shaped cutting board here.

Note:  I fell off the Fabulous Finds bandwagon but am wrangling to get back on!

Airstream Chopping Board

Gosh, I am in LOVE with how this turned out!  I had a hand in the design process and AHeirloom really took my idea and turned it into pure perfection! My plan will be to chop on the opposite side of the board and save the beautiful engraving front as a display piece when not in use.  If you’d like to order one of these for your silver kitchen, you can contact Amy at AHeirloom here.

Three Sisters Mountain Pillow

While out photographing a multifamily property not too long ago, I came across this pillow sitting pretty on a sofa in one of the apartment units.  I have been wanting this particular pillow for the longest while and after seeing it in person, I promptly went home and ordered it up!  If you would like this pillow, please visit ThreeBadSeeds on Etsy :)

Enamelware

If you haven’t heard of the Best Made Company, let me tell you a little about them.  When they make something, they make it right and they make it last.  The proof is my little pot you see behind my two new cups!  I have used that pot for everything from porridge in the mornings for B to thick sticky sauces for ribs to deep frying breakfast pumpkin fritters and each and every time, that little pot comes out shining like its brand new.  Also after all the bumps while towing, I am happy to report not a single chip.  This enamelware is built strong and built to last.  Anyhow — when I saw the cups (that are bigger than the average cup on their site) I knew I had to have them.  If you’d like a set of cups, you find find them here You can find the cute pot, here.

Here is a picture of my new cutting board for my kitchen also created by AHeirloom.  This measures 20″ x 23″ and fits perfectly.  I have been wanting a cutting board the spans the width of the counter top so I would have one big working surface and finally my search for the perfect board came to an end.  It is engraved with geometric triangles that reminds me of the mountains here in the Pacific Northwest.  I am so pleased!

  1. The Adventure Begins Enamel Mug, because it’s enamel and oh so cute.
  2. Mason jar juicer.  This continues my obsession over mason jars and freshly squeezed OJ in the morning.
  3. This Rainbow Beach Towel makes me happy.  We primarily use Turkish Towels on board the Airstream but I keep a stash of terry cloth beach towels under the bed for those times when we just happen to drive by a beach ♥
  4. When this Etsy artist says her teacups are, “One of a kind,” she isn’t kidding.  I happen to think they are adorable.  You should check out her shop, she even has teakettles and more.  Really cute !

Foodie Link Love:

  • We picked a ton of cherries off our trees earlier this summer and in the freezer they sit.  I just may have to make these Cherry Hand Pies the next time I visit my Silver Girl.
  • I almost made this for my birthday dinner.  Almost.  I am definitely making them next weekend.  I mean, hello beautiful mouth watering picture !
  • While gallivanting in Montana we stumbled across some huckleberries.  I can tell you, I guard the precious berries with my life.  I’m thinking this recipe would be very worthy of them.  In addition, I still have ginger snaps from Stacey Cakes in McCall in the freezer.  Definitely a no-brainer.  Must make!
  • I’ve been making B yogurt parfait popsicles during the heat wave we’ve been having in Seattle.  I’m adding honey to my pops next time thanks to this recipe — looks delicious as well as her Cherry Tea Rose Popsicles.  Here’s to a lasting summer to enjoy these !

Happy Tuesday and happy August xoxo

Glacier National Park via J5MM.com

After visiting Glacier National Park last week we took a trip to Whitefish, Montana where I happened upon the Meriwether of Montana shop.  Let me tell you something fellow campers, glampers and outdoor enthusiasts alike – this is the shop for YOU.   But good news here, you don’t have to travel all the way to Whitefish like I did to enjoy their goodies, simply click here and you’ll see what I mean.

Here are some of the things I brought home to my silver girl:

Fab Finds Tuesday Montana Style via J5MM.com // #Airstream #GoRVing

#1 is a darling little red rimmed enamelware pail.  Came in perfect for storing my fresh picked huckleberries from the Montana alpine wilderness ?

#2 is a cute little wooden plaque that says all it needs to say :)

#3 is a coffee percolator.  Very happy to find this!

#4 is a bandana that I just could not resist.  It is designed by a local artist from Montana.  I’m going to make a pillow out of it, I happen to think it is just that cute.

I’m looking forward to sharing more about our trip through Idaho and Montana with you.   Can you imagine?  I took over 3,000 photos.  I will be busy here in the next couple of weeks.

Silver shiny hugs to you xoxo

PS I made a huckleberry pie during our trip and other goodies :)  Stay tuned for scrumptious recipes ❤

Fabulous Finds for your RVing Travels via J5MM.com // #Airstream

1.  I may just swap out my white dish soap dispenser for this one, because it’s just too cute.

2.  To market, to market, to market we go, but not without this very chic Parisian Cotton Net Bag

3.  If the market is calling and we have our bicycle, then this pannier would be perfect.  Btw — I can’t get enough of panniers for my bike, I have a problem collecting them, like I have a problem collecting handbags.

4.  Speaking of pannier/handbag/bag addictions, I wish I would have had this bag on our white water rafting trip through Hells Canyon last summer — would have been perfect!

Hope you’re having a lovely Tuesday and as always, thank you for being here :)

With all my heart,
Monica ♥

Fabulous Finds For Your RV via J5MM.com // #Airstream

This fabulous finds Tuesday post comes to you from ETSY — because I believe in supporting hardworking artists who make beautiful products.  Just look at some of what you can find over there:

1.  I’ve been obsessing over this cute mountain pillow for far too long.  I just need to bite the bullet and buy it.  It’s too cute!

2. Neon mini bowls — perfect as little pinch pots for your RV kitchen counter.  I just love them and their happy bright colors :)

3.  This striped large laundry hamper has my heart.  We keep the hamper in the Airstream shower but this one would be worthy of its own place, somewhere on the Airstream . . . maybe in the bedroom corner at the foot of the bed #thinkingoutloud

4. Reusable produce bags — these are just about the cutest and come in many different styles.

Hope you had a lovely Mother’s Day and are enjoying the start to the week xoxo

~ Monica

PS  Speaking of Etsy, I have a shop over there in case you didn’t know :)  The shelves are bare right now, but I am busy working on more travel inspired silver goodies for you.  xx
