Mothers Day Sewing Kit vis J5MM.com

I recently wrote about this sweet DIY sewing kit over on GoRVing’s blog.  I sure hope you can swing by.  It’s super easy to make and a beautiful gift to give!  Here is the link to the steps and also our adventures along the Oregon Coast, specifically visiting Jetty Fishery (hidden gem, no question).

I hope you enjoy :)

A Taste of Washington's Coast for #GoRVing via J5MM.com #Airstream

If you haven’t had the chance to visit Grayland Beach State Park along Washington’s coast, it is a trip that I highly recommend.  There you are greeted with beautiful sites — some boast privacy, some are very spacious and all are within close proximity to trails that take you straight to the beach and ocean.

I had the honor to write about our recent trip to Grayland Beach State Park for GoRVing.  There I shared our experiences of  razor clamming for the first time along with catching  Dungeness crab and enjoying starry nights.

Here is a direct link to my piece and I truly hope you enjoy it – and most of all, I hope it inspires you to find your Away :)

Come travel with me to the breathtaking Olympic Peninsula as we embark on a seven day journey visiting three idyllic campsites.  We begin the first leg of our trip with a visit to The Waterfront at Potlatch RV Park along the Hood Canal.  We spend our first day in the cool misty mountains that are just a hop skip and a jump away from camp adventuring in the rainforest.  After we return to camp along the waterfront where we dig for clams that will soon become our delicious dinner.  B makes new friends, I make a refreshing oyster appetizer with Oliver by my side and hubby relaxes.  We experience pastel sunsets unparalleled anywhere else all while in the loving company of each other and our sweet silver girl.  I hope you can join me at my new writing venue with GoRVing // The Scenic Route.

Shall we go?

PS  I hope you enjoy the trip :)

Not too long ago we traveled to the Northwestern-most point of the Contiguous USA here in Washington State.  I feel honored to have been able to write about that pretty amazing trip for GoRVing.  I shared with GRV’s readership the beautiful sights we saw, picturesque hikes, snow dusted ocean beaches and some delicious recipes I made in my silver kitchen.

If you have a moment and would like to read more about that beautiful trip, you can visit me over on GoRVing and get some great recipes to take with you on your next road trip ❤

They say that if you don’t try, you’ll never know.  This quote gets me every time and hangs on my home office wall.  It reminds me that if I let fear stand in the way of my hopes and dreams, I may never know what “could be,” and that could haunt me for a long time.

So in 2014, I believed that if I worked super hard, good things would come (and boy did they).  I’ve made new friends from all over the world thanks to J5MM and have received some of the most sweetest comments that literally brought tears to my eyes.  It’s a passion this blog of mine and I’m so happy to have you all here in my world.

During this beautiful December, not only did I experience a peaceful Christmas with sweet handmade gifts from B, I received a very special gift of a very different sort.  This gift came from the RVing coalition — GoRVing.com  when they reached out to me.  They happen to think I am pretty good at what I do here on J5MM and asked if I would like to become a blogger for them and share some of our adventures and RVing domesticity with their readership.  I was so completely flattered and so very happy.  I mean, this was Go RVing, they are “THE” RVing coalition.  I will admit, hubby had to pull me down hard from cloud nine ;)

So without further adieu, here is my very first post for GRV.  I hope you like it and share it.  It’s full of recipes and a great DIY for gifts that would be perfect for any time of the year:  It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Thank you for being here.  It means so much to me and I truly hope you are having a resultful and peaceful holiday season XOXO

With love,

Monica

When traveling with an RV there are many benefits to be had.  Take for example the fact that you have all the comforts of home with you including a fully equipped kitchen.  Sure it’s probably smaller than your kitchen at home, but with a little organization and planning, you can easily whip up the same healthy meals you do for your family at home, but on the road.

My Travel Trailer Kitchen

What’s better is that you’re actually on the road.  Traveling.  Exploring.  Seeking out new adventures.  Can you imagine a better way to experience the “here and now,” than visiting a local market where you just happen to be seeking out the freshest, in season goodies to cook a meal with?  Take it to the next level and talk to some locals shopping in the market.  Ask them how they like to cook those “in season” ingredients.  More often than not, you’ll make a new friend and come back to your RV inspired, ready to cook.
