It really is the most wonderful time of the year. Spending the holidays in the San Juan Islands warms my heart. There is no other place like the Islands during the holidays.
To really get a feel for the islands, please visit my first post for Go RVing here and I hope you enjoy (and visit one day, if you have not had the chance.)
Happy shiny holidays,

Happy (soon to be) Halloween! Why not dress up your RV’s front porch with these easy to make glittery pumpkins? Simple to make and a true pleasure to admire. I wrote about how to make these over on GoRVings blog here. Hope you can check it out!

I recently wrote about this sweet DIY sewing kit over on GoRVing’s blog. I sure hope you can swing by. It’s super easy to make and a beautiful gift to give! Here is the link to the steps and also our adventures along the Oregon Coast, specifically visiting Jetty Fishery (hidden gem, no question).
I hope you enjoy :)

Oh weekends — how thankful I am for them especially during this time of year. Today was a glorious day in Seattle and I was able to steal a few hours away for myself and organize my silver girl readying her for our upcoming trip next weekend. It’s funny how organizing her, also helps clear my mind and helps me focus.
We’re taking her on a trip that will take us to the northwesternmost point of the contiguous United States — Cape Flattery here in Washington State. Photography opportunities should be incredible from all the photos I have seen on line so far and I can hardly wait. I’m also looking forward to being (far) away from corporate America and spending quality, quiet time with the boys on the beach.
After pouring myself a cup of tea this afternoon, I flipped through some holiday recipe books in seek of inspiration for this weekend. Needless to say, I was overcome with ideas so now I just need to put it all together and come up with the official menu. The only ingredient I have purchased so far is the turkey breast (yikes)! Thankfully I have a few more days to shop and prepare.
Hubby, B, Oliver and I are sending you warm wishes this holiday season.
It means so much to have you here.
With all my heart,
Humbly,
Monica XOXO
Wishing you Peace, Love and Joy this Holiday Season and Throughout the Coming Year xoxo

“Mommy, I think we should put some of those snowflakes on the top of the Airstreams.” B tells me as we complete our edible diorama over the weekend.
We live about 10 minutes outside of downtown Seattle. Hubby has lived here all of his life and as for me, I am going on 15+ years. In those 15 years I still feel a little ashamed that I have yet to explore so many places in this wonderful city of ours. There is so much here that people come from all over the world to visit. The tourist scene in downtown the other day was amazing. People were everywhere and of course the number one place to go when you are visiting is the infamous Pike Place Market.
Santa is coming and soon.
It’s hard for me to believe his arrival is only one week away.
“Should we go for one night or for two?” Hubby asks me over dinner the other night.
“I’m Sorry?” I asked . . . not understanding .
And then it all comes back to me — we had discussed taking a ski trip to the mountain pass with our Airstream that I had completely forgotten about. The trip was planned right in the middle of this upcoming week. This week when I was supposed to be getting my act together and getting everything ready for Christmas.
