Here is how I decorated our first Airstream — very different from our Airstream now but still very fun, I think :)

With gift card in hand I stepped into my local Anthropologie store. Wow. I couldn’t believe my eyes — so many beautiful and unique items from clothing to kitchen to gardening! Here are three things I brought home with me that I found fit so well on our Airstream.

Retro Kitchen Timer (and it’s orange!)

Heirloom Recipe Book – this is so adorable. That spoon is made from metal, not paper and the inside pages are color coded per category. I can’t wait to start filling this up with recipes and photos.

Owl Tea Towel.  If you ever have a chance to go into Anthropologie, their tea towel wall is unbelievabe.  I must have stood there for half an hour just drooling over all of their different designs.  Since I’m a sucker for owls, this one came home with me.

Bright and fun ZAK acrylic tumblers

Corelle dishes — love this fun pattern

Funky felted cosmos mobile

The interior of our Airstream is aluminum so suction cups work great for hanging things.  The hood over the range is magnetic so magnetic hooks work well for hanging some fun bright utensils.

I am addicted to these magnetic strips I have found at the Container Store.  They attach via a sticker on the back and they match the inside of the Airstream.  Those clear ball magnets come from the Container Store too (they have so many fun unique magnets, I wanted to buy them all [surprise surprise]).  Notice when the light shines on them how they reflect off the aluminum interior?

More magnetic strips — we use them to hang up pictures of our past travels and of masterpieces B draws for us

More magnetic strips on the fridge

These I found at Big Lots for 99 cents!  They are “over the cabinet” hooks and fit perfectly on all of our Airstream cabinets.  At home I use them to hang my dish towel; on our Airstream I use them everywhere for everything.

This is a lap desk I found at the Contanier store.  The legs fold down and the top of the desk opens up to . . .

This!  It’s perfect for holding paper and crayons for when a creative mood crops up for B

The “lounge.”  There is a dining table under there — can you guess?  It is folded down with the cushions on top.  We really enjoy it this way and when its time for dinner, up it goes.  Do you see the sink?  There is a drop leaf counter right next to it — makes for plenty or countertop space when cooking (and I haven’t really had the need to use it yet).

Can not leave home without the iPod that has a plethora of movies

I found these Martha Stewart stickers at a craft store and thought they were so fun.  Are they gnomes?  I’m not sure, but one of those cute little guys are holding up a wooden sign that reads, “Happy Trails.”

Artsy salt and pepper holders with a Sunset magazine behind featuring an article about Airstreaming along the California coastline (my BIG roadtrip dream that I hope to experience one day.  Until then, I read and re-read that article and dream).

  1. Love all of these accessories!

I will need to control myself when I pick up my Bambi…I can easily go overboard accessorizing.

These are great photos of your Airstream! Thank you for sharing.
